Back in the day I had two CB-900F's. I kind of liked them once I got the Honda Sport kit and an Onterio exhaust on them.

I must be out riding my Super Teneré'!

This is cut a little short, as they didn't get to the GL1100 Goldwing. I still have my naked '81, and it's one of the finest bikes I've ever owned. Syd :)

For a long time, the GL was sort of ignored at Honda because they didn't know what it'd become.  When the GL1000 was introduced in 1975-76, it was considered a hi-performance bike but one with a very small market and it wasn't until much later that the touring bike idea began to take shape.

At the time of the 1981 Dealer Convention, I was in Japan working on the manual for the CX500T (Turbo) and also the 2nd generation Civic.
