Yea didn't work for me either.
Brick

Doug - that link to the Registration website didn't work for me.

Tosh

The link lower down: "MSTA Se Region Web Site" http://msta-se.com/  connects to regional events and to the TRISTAR link http://msta-se.com/tristar/ and is working.

If you're looking for an online registration, you're correct about it not being that. When I click on the registration link I get connected to a pdf of the registration that I can print. If we have someone who can work with Doug P. to do an online registration, I would appreciate if they'd contact him.

Geoffrey thanks for stepping up, not sure of my plans yet but this is one of my favorite events, other than STAR and Mail Pouch which is in my back yard I've been to more Tri-STARs than anything (though FCR is closing the gap).

I don't recall if we had online registration in the past, or if it was a print and mail. I think it was mail in last year, and did find an entry in my checkbook for registration fee sent to Iggy Joe. Other than STAR I'm not sure I've done another MSTA event with online registration, maybe FCR.

Geoffrey,

We have not had ( at least in the past few years) online registration. when Doug and I had spoken of it I believe he said that Harry could help me set it up, but I chose to keep it "old school". I am sure if you want to set it up that way it can be done. This old road lizard is just too much of a dinosaur I guess.

May 15th is the cutoff for pre-registration for Tri-STAR...and that's tomorrow! Just to make sure you get your envelope postmarked by the 15th, better get it in the mail on the 14th.

We'll have a picnic cookout Friday night and BBQ dinner Saturday night included in your registration fee. Sunday evening it's become traditional to walk (ride if you prefer) down to the Mexican restaurant downtown for dinner, but that will be on your dime.

Here's looking forward to seeing a big crowd in Sparta in a couple of weeks.

Hopefully we'll have a good weather forecast this year so the Weather Weenies don't chicken out and stay home!

You should just find and print out a registration form for every MSTA rally of the year since you attend about 3/4 of them ;)
See you in Sparta in a couple of weeks. We had some hail here yesterday to remind us NE Ohio weather sucks, I was in the garage doing bike maintenance and just laughed.

TriSTAR in Sparta, NC
« Reply #25 on: May 20, 2016, 01:04:59 pm »
Rooms are still available at the Alleghany Inn in Sparta for TriSTAR. The MSTA wouldn't have an event here if the surrounding area wasn't wonderful...time to get off the couch and come to NC for the weekend.
If you call the Alleghany Inn, but sure to identify yourself as being with the MSTA. The rooms are no longer being blocked off, so we may have a few interlopers mixed in. But if you identify yourself, you'll get the MSTA room rate.

Don't be afraid of the weather...I guarantee some will happen. Exactly what combination of things to expect, I don't know. But we'll definitely have some weather.

Registration for the event is $30 with passengers/MOH only $25. You'll more than get your money's worth with the fun you'll have, and you'll still get fed a couple of times. It's like free food!

See you next week.

Steve,
Actually I have been a piker this year. Norm is the one who is at the most MSTA events! Hell I even missed STAR last year!

Download your application for TriSTAR here...
http://msta-se.com/tristar/
Fill it out, and bring it with you. You'll save time at the registration table and the whole process will go more smoothly. Do it...do it now!
You know you want to visit Sparta and hang with a bunch of your best riding buddies.

Bring your non-MSTA riding buddies with you, too. Remember that newbies get a year's membership as part of their registration. Does it get any better than that? And even folks that may have left the fold more than 5 years ago. This is a great time for them to come back home to one of the best clubs around.

Rooms are still available at the Alleghany Inn, but don't wait too long. You need to be headed this way real soon, and you don't want to get there and not have a room.

Hey Folks,

As I told most of you whom I have seen recently, Anita and I had hopes of being able to come up to Sparta on Sunday to say howdy and maybe get a ride in and see the "usual suspects" who stay over till Monday at the event. However in addition to having to work a double shift  on Saturday (7AM until at least 10 PM) I will be having to work both Sunday and Monday at school until we can get the last of the international students onto flights. So you guys all need to get out and support Geoffrey and thank him for stepping up as coordinator, and enjoy the roads and the friendships that make the MSTA and TRIStar great. We will be missing you guys a lot, and sending good thoughts your way for dry roads and safe journeys.

Hopefully we will see y'all at STAR in VT...

We will be there, will you?
