2013 Honda NC700XD - Fully Loaded
« on: May 18, 2016, 07:33:24 am »
We're only selling our 2013 NC700XD (DCT) (ABS) because we need room in the garage. We're the 2nd owners, purchased in 2014 w/5k miles on it. This was purchased as a company bike, used as additional display bike for official, national Honda events. Just for trivia, celebrity motorcyclist and actor Perry King rode this bike onto the stage at the 2014 AMA Hall of Fame Induction Awards Banquet at the AIM Expo (pics available). Always stored in climate controlled garage. Cleaned after every ride. Dealer serviced, runs perfect. Never down. No dents, scratches, etc. We've done lots of upgrades, see below. Makes a great all-purpose ride. Comfortable, easy to ride with DCT (Dual Clutch Transmission, auto and manual shift modes), dependable, lots of storage and gets HUGE (60+) mpg. Its a great ride and makes an excellent first bike, daily rider (especially in traffic with the auto shift mode), distance bike, etc. Seat height is low enough for 28" inseam, no problem. Currently:

Clear Title
8k miles
Full OEM Pannier Set
OEM Heated Grips
GIVI crash bars
OEM Touring Windscreen
Center stand
Pyramid inner rear fender
Lower engine protectors
New Chain (upgrade)
PR4s w/3k miles on them
Battery tender connector
More pics available

Currently installed but to be removed: Smart phone holder, ZUMO 665 w/locking mount and XM Antennae, sheepskin seat pad.

Stupid low price for MSTA Members: $4000. We need to make room in the garage! Will help with any shipping arrangements. Will deliver for free within 100 miles of Tampa, FL. Call Doug at 813-928-1663.

That seems like a smokin deal... but not for me. I'm not quite old enough.

I need a bigger garage. I'm up to 11 potentially running bikes now (as an acquaintance once told me, I'm more of an "accumulator" than a collector), but they all still put a smile on my face. I think this would take the place of a couple of my bikes, but I still need to thin the herd a bit.

Some of you know that I'm not big on cleaning and polishing my bikes. I'd hate to buy this one and then let it get dirty...it's so darned nice now. Too bad.

That's a beautiful bike, Doug, and I'm not sure there's any particular age limit associated with it! I wish you had advertised it several months ago, as I recently bought a new Honda with DTC. Had that not been the case, I'd have already sent a pm to you. This would be a perfect bike to own, because I can't imagine finding one that's cleaner, or maintained as meticulously. Your price is also very reasonable. I predict a quick sale! Syd :D

Very tempted to do a fly and ride, but I've already been told that if something comes in, something has to go out......and after 34 years it's cheaper to keeper... :)

GLWS.....it's a good thing it's not closer

Steve,

Does not compute... How can one have "too many bikes"?? LOL

It is tempting for sure!

Uhm, I kept a bike behind the building at my place of work for about 2 years. But that was SB2 (secret bike). It finally came home when I wanted to ride it in the 2005 Iron Butt Rally. SB1 was a bike that I kept in a friend's garage for too long (ok...it was Roger White's garage). It was going well until I rode it to Daytona one year. During the trip south, the engine blew up, and I had to beg to get someone to stop by Brunswick, GA to bring the bike home via trailer (thank you Bob Koss). It went back to the friend's garage until it received an engine transplant. Some time later I finally brought it home and 'fessed up.
I'm done...there will be no more SBs. If I buy one, it comes home and gets tucked into the garage. The better half may not recognize different models of bikes, but she's good at counting wheels. When there are more than previously counted, she knows I've been at it again.
