Forum Posts in a Listserv Format (Similar to Google Groups)

You can receive and reply to posts via email on our forum. You must set up your forum account to enable this feature. Each forum will allow you to receive notification emails which you can reply to via email. Go into the forum that you wish to follow, click the notify button, you will now receive an email for each post made in that forum that you can reply to by email. Be forewarned, if you enable all forums with notifications, you may receive a huge amount of email, as every post made to the forum will be emailed to you. If you would like to limit the amount of emails you receive, select the forum that you are most interested in. Every email will provide a link to turn off notifications for the thread the email belongs to.

To reply via email, just reply in your email client as you normally would with any other email. The system will handle the rest.

To start a new topic via email, send an email to listserv@ridemsta.com.

You must register a forum account for this to work, and the email address you provide in you registration must be the same email address that you use to send email to the forum.

An issued has been uncovered when replying to a post via email and you are using a webmail type service. You must be using an email client such as Mozilla Thunderbird or Microsoft Outlook for this feature to work. If you are viewing and replying to your email through your web browser, you will receive the following message:

You are not permitted to post replies to topics on this board.

For now, you can either install thunderbird (easy set-up on a windows operating system using gmail) or click on the link at the bottom of the email that says:

 Reply to This Email or View Original Post: 

This will take you directly to the post on the forum to make your reply.
