2019 KY Red River Gorge Rally Information
« on: November 14, 2018, 07:39:39 pm »

July 12-14, 2019

The 5th annual Kentucky MSTA rally has been moved to Mt. Sterling, KY and renamed the KY-MSTA Red River Gorge Rally.  Moving it will allow us to take advantage of all of the great roads that the Red River Gorge, Daniel Boone National Forest, and Eastern Kentucky have to offer, along with the well known small-town Kentucky hospitality.  Easy access off of I-64 about 20 miles east of Lexington, KY.

The Host Hotel is the Ramada Inn, Mt. Sterling. We have a block of rooms set aside under the MSTA name for $84.59 + tax per night...Friday and Saturday July 12th and 13th.  This includes breakfast.  The hotel offer plenty of parking, an indoor pool and spa area, and complimentary internet.  To reserve your room, call the hotel directly at 859-497-9400. The hotel address is 115 Stone Trace Drive, Mt. Sterling, Kentucky 40353.

There is a Comfort Inn next door and many other hotels in the area for any overflow.  Within an easy stroll there is a Cattleman's Steakhouse and a Cracker Barrel.  Gas is available at the entrance to the hotels and across the road.  A local Kawasaki dealer, Gateway Cycle, has offered to sponsor the event.  Details to follow.

GPX and printed routes will be available upon request (email me). These routes will include a ride to Hillbilly Hotdog's in West Virginia, a tour of multiple state parks including Carter Caves, and the always popular Hillbilly Triangle.  If you prefer a shorter route, Miguel's Pizza and Natural Bridge SP are only a short distance away.

REGISTRATION:

www.planetreg.com/E1155113757296

The rally fee is 15.00 and all proceeds will be donated to the Dan Clark Safety Fund.

Any questions: email me at kyzrex@aol.com or call me at 859-620-6352.

Patrick Mogavero, Event Coordinator.

I have moved the rally to Mt. Sterling, KY.  About 20 miles east of Lexington, off of I-64.  This gives us better access to the eastern mountain roads that everyone enjoyed so much last year.

I’m sure that there are some south of the area in the D. Boone forest, but I’ve got no DS routes set up.

Pat, on the pre-registration form it says "An MSTA-sanctioned rally that is open to all motorcycle riders, regardless of club affiliation."
But it just has slots for Regular, Sustaining members or Life members.
So if I bring a non-member with me how does he pre-register? :helpme:

Regarding: "To reserve your room, call the hotel directly at 859-498-2563. "

When I dialed that number I got a fax machine.
