New state director introduction
« on: December 27, 2018, 08:20:02 pm »
Hello everyone I just wanted to introduce myself to those I have not had the pleasure of meeting yet. First I want to say thank you to everyone for the congratulations and especially thank you to Don and Cathy for the opportunity and Moose for the words of wisdom and entertaining all of my questions.

A little about myself, I am 37 and bought my first motorcycle (a 1996 Honda CBR 600F3) when I was 16 years old. I was addicted immediately! I rode like a typical dumb kid for several years then took my first long trip on my 2003 RC51. I went to upstate New York and home over a long weekend and decided after that I need something more comfortable.

I later bought a Ducati Multistrada and started touring with it. I joined the local Ducati owners club, IDesmo, and have been active with them for four years. Through that club I met some great guys like Moose and Wayne Williams. I talked to Wayne about touring and wanting to find a group to ride with and he told me about the MSTA. I joined as soon as I could and found a rally to check out.

After attending my first rally in KY I realized I had found a great group of like minded riders. I have since been to several rallies each year and had a great time at each. My girlfriend Ashley has come with me for a couple rallies and also enjoys our local events and rides. I look forward too being more active in the group and help continue the great traditions and relationships I see in the group now.

Lastly I welcome any feed back or insight from others on how to continue and improve membership or rides and activities. I will do my best to uphold the great example Don and Cathy have set and look forward to meeting our Indiana members.

Welcome, Jared!  You follow some very popular state directors and great folks to hang out with.  I'm sure they chose well.  Best of luck.  I hope to see you at an event soon.

Thank you Jared.  The SD position is a key one within the club.  Feel free to ask others for assistance.  You’ve got some big shoes to fill but I’m sure you’re up to the task and will do a great job.

Thanks for stepping up Jared, we definitely need more new and young blood in the club, as members but also as leaders. I'm 54 and have been among the "young" group for a long time now.

Think we might have met over the last couple years at some events, recall a couple young guys from Indy at Fall Colors at least one on a Multistrada.

Jared, if you are bored this Saturday come over to Tipp City and help with the raffle bike stuffing.  Ping me if that should like something you want to come do.
