Great Plains Cycle Supply, Lincoln, Nebraska

If you ever need help in eastern Nebraska, I recommend you go to Great  Plains Cycle Supply in Lincoln.  Even if you don't need help, it is worth a stop to see all of the vintage bikes on display and talk with some interesting folks.  Noah, one of the owners, has a liking for BMWs which saved my trip.   My 03' BMW RT went over in a near tornado while I was taking shelter in a gas station near Lincoln.  Windshield was broken along with the shield adjustment mechanism.   Not much luck with nearby dealers, so I was about to cut my trip short when I stopped in at Great Plains.  Noah just happened to have a windshield and quickly jury rigged the mechanism before installing the shield.  Price was more than fair.  Good conversation was free.

I noticed a typo in the thread title, it says Great Lakes Cycle the delaer is really Great Plains Cycle. Not sure if the thread originator can change this or if we need a mod to take care of it. Not a big deal but when I read the title I wondered why they called themselves Great Lakes if they're in Nebraska ;)  Then read the thread to get "the rest of the story..."
Always good to know there are dealers who do a good job. I try to make a habit of spreading the word when I have an outstanding experience like that. Especially when you're on a long trip and they can save your hide like that.

Jon,
Thanks for fixing, saw it earlier and clicked the applaud button by you.

Jim,
I did say it wasn't a big deal. What can I say, I'm a bit OCD. 25+ years of writing computer software trying to plan for every possible exception and user input does that to you. You'll also note I did comment on the actual topic and not just complain.
Besides Jon said every post we make benefits the group, just tring to do my part...

I've done business with Noah before and have no complaints.

Opps - sorry about the mistake - it is Great Plains Cycle Supply.  When you're from Michigan "lakes" just sort of automatic.

And if you like some good beer Great Lakes just rolls off the tongue. "Yes I'll take a tall Dortmunder please"
