SW Ohio Breakfast
« on: June 19, 2021, 10:10:52 am »
Well, today was the monthly SW breakfast. Since I was home from STAR I went to eat. But NOOOOOOOOOOOO!!! All the power was out in the whole town of Waynesville where we meet and eat due to the storms we have experienced no doubt. So I turned back around (in my car since it was still raining) and went home.
Maybe next time.  I sure hope no one can from too far for nothing.   TM

Having had a similar experience (planned a ride and I was the only one to show up for it), I'd be pleased to buy your breakfast some time.

Thanks Geoffrey, I'd be pleased to accept. ;)  Ya know it's just one of those things. You can't control it and nothing really bad happened so, I dealt with it.  If that's the worst thing to happen..............    TM

I think that with everyone just getting back from STAR, the breakfast just slipped their mind.  I know it did mine, I wasn’t even thinking about it.

How about we do it next Saturday, this one month?  I know I’d love to get together with everyone and relive our STAR trip.

Tosh?  Want to send out reminders to everyone?

I'll be working this Saturday but y'all enjoy.   It may not have been so much as the eaters didn't show, there was nothing to show up for, so about face and go home.  I hope everyone didn't have damage from the storm.   TM

That is SO true!
Yep and often when I post a ride for our local group the first few responses are "sorry cannot make it." I don't like planning a group thing and being the only one to show up, but I won't stop trying.

PS as for power outages, we ran into that at the Holly River State Park for lunch during STAR, no power = no food. Back up the road we went twisty park road we went and waited for the paving crew to let us thru (a second time) and proceed elsewhere for lunch. No way for anybody to know they had no power.
