Canaan Valley 2022
« on: November 25, 2021, 10:06:15 am »
REGISTRATION WILL OPEN ON JAN 1, 2022

The 2022 Canaan Valley MSTA Rally will be held at the Canaan Valley Resort near Davis, WV on the dates of May 19-22, 2022. This Just for Fun rally is open to all motorcycle riders, regardless of club affiliation. There is NO RALLY FEE for this event, however we will be collecting donations for the Ride For Kids Foundation (suggested donation of $10). Beyond the small costs for registration, etc., all donations will go to the fund, so please give what you can.

We will offer the same street and ADV routes that we used for the 2021 STAR, but we’ve refined them to address concerns noted last June. They will be available for download to GPS devices.

The Canaan Valley Resort has given us group rates for 4-BR cabins ($303/night) and lodge rooms ($99/night) - discounted 30-40 percent from the seasonal rates. They are holding 10 rooms and five cabins under the MSTA name until March 19. You can reserve your room by calling the resort at 304-866-4121. Ask for a room in the MSTA block to get the discount. Or you can reserve online at:
https://www.canaanresort.com/book-now/?Checkin=05%2F19%2F2022&Checkout=05%2F22%2F2022&Adults=1&Group=10197b#/room

NOTE: People who want to use the cabins should coordinate a group of four or more. If you form the group before you register, the resort can take separate payments. Otherwise, one person will need to make the deposit and advance payment, and then collect from the other members who stay at the cabin.

On site registration hours will be Thursday from 5-6 pm, Friday from 7:30-8:30 am and 5-6 pm, and Saturday from 7:30-8 am. If you cannot make these times, please contact me for other arrangements.

If you have any questions, call Chris Shoop @ 304-488-9128 (reasonable hours) or Email me at shoopce@gmail.com.

I NEED to go back to Canaan Valley. So much riding to do, and I just couldn't squeeze it all in during STAR.

Looks to be a really nice location; haven't been before.  Booked a room and looking forward to it!  Tagging a few days onto the end, to head down BRP and spend a bit of time near Robbinsville, NC. ;D

The location is great, many fine roads and sites nearby. The ride up to the lodge area reminded me a bit of some places out west, with the trees, streams, ponds, wildlife etc. The lodge was very nice, heard the cabins were good too.

Not sure if I'll make it for this event, have to see what next year brings. If you stay at the lodge I strongly recommend the little cafe in the lobby for breakfast.

Hi guys, I've duplicated the initial message in a new folder (Canaan Valley JFF)  that we created for the event. If I can, I will move the replies there as well.
