Road Routes
« on: February 28, 2024, 09:50:07 PM »
We have 7 curvy road routes.  Some are made up entirely of state routes, some have smaller more technical roads, all are fun.  They feature a mix of historical sites, birthplaces of famous folks, scenic views and interesting lunch stops in coal country, Amish country and lake country.

We have been in the Ohio area near Mid-Ohio many times and have never seen a horse that was pulling the buggy pulling a wheelie. Most were very calm.
We also have many areas of Amish in SE Minnesota and have not seen those horse pull wheelies either.
Did someone feed him some special high octane food??

I think the buggy is taking flight.  Maybe someone at the sign shop was flying a bit, too.   ;)

PS, this sign is in Ragersville, in case someone wants a selfie.

I was riding in Ohio once (route 93 just north of Sugar Creek) coming thru a corner and over a rise, there was a horse and buggy stopped and traffic at the cross street, and coming the other way. The horse raised those front legs pretty high and appeared to be doing a wheelie as I grabbed the binders to avoid getting caught up in the situation.

Also have to watch out for the road apples, or as Quint Marcaletti calls them "Amish exhaust".

Sorry I missed this event in my backyard, but look forward to seeing some of you at other events thru the year, including Tri-STAR next weekend.
