U.P. Michigan, Routs??
« on: July 15, 2024, 09:10:40 am »
Planning a trip with Spyder wife next week up to Ludington, MI. Take Ferry across to Manitowoc, WI. then loop around the U.P back down Mackinaw City and follow the Lake Mich coast south.
Any suggested routes or GPX files is always helpful. Thanks in advance. B.

I don't have any routes, but I do recommend visiting Tahquamenon Falls state park, and the Great Lakes Shipwreck Museum at Whitefish Point.

I don't have any gps routes either. But, I would suggest going to the UP of Michigan. Houghton might be a little longer than you were planning, but it is a great ride in the UP. Very few vehicles on the road in that area and many places to visit with history.

I love the east coast of Lake Michigan.  The riding? Not so good, but the small towns and beaches along the way are beautiful.
