There is an on-site state owned and operated campground with baths and flush toilets located on the grounds. Wooded sites. I’m not sure if they take reservations or it’s first come-first serve.

I pitched a tent at one of the "tent only" sites while at the Canaan Valley Rally a few years back (seems like there are only 2 of these sites). There are plenty of sites available that include accommodations for other types of camping including RVs, tents, etc.
Facilities were convenient and clean. No problems. I made my reservation in advance.

A few people in the past have also camped at Blackwater Falls State park, which is only about 10 or so miles away.  Good reviews for it.
