You have a notebook with a small hard drive. OR you just want to install Garmin maps somewhere other than the C: partition -- maybe even on a thumb drive that, when attached, has a drive letter. First off, when installing an UPDATE of a current map be sure to look carefully at the install options. Garmin does appear to let you install an UPDATE at a location other than the C: partition.
