What about the quality across the road?

Some there, as well.  Got a better deal, at higher rated hotel, with the Microtel.

It's now less than 2 weeks till the Fly-By, August 23-24-25, 2014!
Don't miss attending the MSTA's largest regional event.
Pre-registrations are way ahead of the amount we had on this date last year. Looks like we could have record attendance at this years event.
Make your hotel reservations now to be sure of a room at the event hotel.
Register early and save $5 - Pre-Registration Form Attached.

If anyone still needs a room, I have an extra bunk at the Hampton Inn less than a mile down the road.

Hey Pat, I'll be just across the road from ya.

Mounted the new Michelin PR4's on Saturday after MI Squadron breakfast and ride. Sunday scrub in about 125 miles. Today, wash and clean the beast. Tomorrow begin packing. See you in Marietta Friday night.  :) I'm so stoked.  :-*

Is anyone else from Florida attending the event?  I'm already on my way there from Jupiter, FL, stopping tonight (Tuesday) in Thomson, GA. Taking my time, I expect to arrive on Thursday.  :)

For some reason I could not reply to your PM.  Will call or text this morning.  Bunk is still open.  Stayed at Hampton last year, nice place.  Cost is $235 for both days. Includes breakfast and internet.  Two standard beds, whatever standard is.  Checked other places, Super 8 has rooms and lower prices but a bunch of negative reviews.  Used to stay at Red Roof Inn's too, but last two times were less than enjoyable.

Just a warning for those heading out to ride to Mail Pouch tomorrow or Friday. I was looking at my route from Wooster to Marietta using roads on to the west of I-77. I was disappointed to see many road closures that could make routing difficult. Lots of this is north of I-70 on roads like 666, 60, 83 and 208.

If you want to look at this info yourself check out the link below and look for road construction or road work.
Ohio DOT traffic site  http://www.buckeyetraffic.org/  click cancel to stay on site (older version which I like better) or click Ok to go to new site.

I see one closure on SR26 closed between 148 and 145 (this is south of I-70 but north of Woodsfield). The site says this construction will end on 8/20 (today) so maybe it will be open starting tomorrow.  Other than that I don’t see much on the east (rest of 26 is good, as are 800, 260, 255, 536, 78 etc.

Of course detours are always posted, but often they suck (more major roads) and take you far out of the way. And of course you may be able to find your own detours (a GPS helps) hopefully on paved roads, or just ride through the construction site if you’re adventurous enough and your bike can make it ;)

If I have additional info I’ll post it later or you can find me at Mail Pouch and pick my brain (bring beer).
