New locale for SW Ohio Breakfast
« on: December 20, 2014, 12:27:24 PM »
Our new location at the Village Family Restaurant in Waynesville worked well and we had 9-10 members present.  At least in my opinion, the food was much better than at Our Place in Washington Courthouse, they had more options, plus service was very fast.  Even at 10 AM the restaurant was only half full so my fears of being run out early by waiting crowds were unfounded but it might be different during the summer.   ;D

ps. only two days to the Winter Solstice then we can see Spring getting closer each day!

Was planning on driving up for this, but didn't get up early enough.  Hopefully will make it in Jan.  much closer for me than WCH location.

I noticed that they had another room they were not using so that might be a option for later.

My food was also very good, plus they had gluten free toast that was half decent. Only 36 miles from home. Thanks for organizing Tosh.

After 2 visits to the Village Restaurant it gets a 2 thumbs up!  This was a good call. Only 25 minute drive/ride for me. Cab always that the long way home.   ;)   TM

I had the choices narrowed to three restaurants and the locales were Waynesville, Monroe, and Lebanon.   Waynesville was a little bit further north than I wanted since my original plan was to find a place equal distance between Cincy and Dayton.  By happenstance I had lunch at The Village Restaurant on a weekday and the search ended!  They have a large parking lot, good food at reasonable prices, ample seating, and they don't mind if we hang around and yak after our meal.

The goal set by Coach was to reach more members and non-members and it has worked.  We had 15 at the last breakfast.   :D

Went there last Sat with the group.

There were about 15 people there. I got there right at 9am and the main table & 2 others were already filled up, so I didn't get to sit with the 'Toshmaster.' No matter. LOTs of good friends to visit with!

Good company, good food, good location. Loved it!

I made it there for the first time this past weekend.  Definitely a good choice.  It is further for me so I probably won't make it all the time but I'd rather it drew more attendees than that it be in my backyard.  Food was good, location too. Thanks, Tosh!

Worked out well for me.  Close enough that I didn't have to get the time limit on my temporary passport extended.
