Ah, found it.  There's an Unnotify button near the top of the topic page.

Better question would be why were some of us notified in the first place (I don't recall turning it on myself). Maybe Jon did that to help testing.
I have clicked the unnotify now. You can also go to your profile (click Profile near top next to Home Help Search), then click Modify Profile and select Notifications to see all your notifications (and change them).

I need to check into it, I didn't change anyone's settings.

Chalk me up as another that got the e-mail but didn't need it.  I too found notify enabled at the top of this thread.  Changed it.
