While the Canaan Valley Resort itself has 3 restaurant facilities within the lodge, (The main restaurant is The Hickory Room.  Next door to it is the Laural Lounge. There is also the Season's, which is primarily a quick serve ice cream/snacks kind of place.) we understand that some people may wish to sample some of the local fare and explore the area offerings.

Outside the resort there are several options within 3-9 miles away.  The links above will show you many of them.  Note also that Venus Pies is a Pizza facility that has delivery to the resort.

Well, the cabins and cottages have full kitchens, so I plan on eating in.

Thanks Pat. Looks like lots of options. I for one intend to support the local restaurants and probably the Microbrewery too.

Is Mim's Kitchen on the itinerary?

Larry - Unfortunately Mim's kitchen is only open on Friday, Saturday and Sunday.   She is open 11am-3pm on Sunday so you might be able to stop by on your way in from OH-STOC.

Wow I would not have expected that many eateries in Davis, last time I was there didn't seem like much.

I plan to eat mostly at the hotel, as I suspect many will do. The pizza delivery sounds like a good option one night.

Of course one of the key places for many will be somewhere to buy their adult beverages. Figure that will be a good last stop before returning to the hotel on the first day's ride during the event. Hmm, I see a convenience store just a few miles north of the resort on the main road, that's a start.

I think the last time I ate in Marlinton it was a small diner, appears to be called S&D Diner on 2nd Ave.

Thanks Pat, the Monday evening meal is the one that's off site (just a few miles away) and replaces the lunch ride, and is included in the registration fee (no separate ticket like lunch ride). Excellent that leaves Sat, Sun and Tue :)

Yes, the resort has a full size bus that they will be using to shuttle us from the lodge to the location of the BBQ.
