RRGR is a favorite, but more is better.
So, what's up with the 4th of July Weekday Rally?

We had some people express that they can’t do weekend rallies because they work saturdays or have other commitments and would like something during the week.  Well….here’s their opportunity.  Also….the motel is completely booked every weekend this summer and this is when they had some rooms available.

I’ve only put it up on the Kentucky MSTA Facebook Group.  Not really trying to make it a big regional rally at this time. Thought it best to start small and see how it goes, so it is not on the “official “ MSTA calendar. However, everyone is more than welcome to come. If anyone is planing to come they will need to get their room reserved right away.  The room block is only being held until June 1st.

All street.  Going to be very small event, basically just testing the waters to see if a weekday Rally is of any interest to the club. I’ll bring a computer with some routes on it.  Mainly just modifying the Red River Gorge Rally routes for use out of Lil Abner.

Last update on the event:

1) we have 57 people preregistered for the event as of Wednesday August 9, 2023.....that's about 15 more than last year at the same time.

2) the weather forecast has improved steadily, and it now looks like it will be rain free from Thursday evening -Saturday night, with temps in the low 80's during the days.

3) I've added several NEW ROUTES that range from 100 miles-360 miles. Not all of them are found on the event website, but I am bringing a computer that will allow me to load them onto most GPS units. Please bring your own cable. I will also have all the routes printed out with turn-by-turn instructions. We can make copies of those, on the hotel printer, for people wanting copies of them.

4) please be safe riding down as Thursday, during the day, does look wet for most people.

Many thanks to Pat, Norm and the other folks who helped make this event a resounding success! We had pretty good luck with the weather allowing the participants to enjoy the great routes.
