Been riding a couple of years after a 35 year hiatus. Last bike in the 70's was a Hodaka that about did me in.
Restarted on a puny Honda 150 scooter. Too damn small for anything.

Moved up to a Honda NT700 for about six months / 5,200 miles including a trip to the NT /ST gathering in Spearfish, SD. Maybe it's just me, but the NT was way too heavy (and top heavy). Stopped and dropped a few times. Rebooted with a Burgman 400. Nice low CG. Big comfy saddle. Lots of storage.

But, after 10 months and 10,800 miles on the 400 Burg, I moved back up the food chain to a Burgman 650. Ahhh. Just right for my needs. Already have 1900 miles in two months. Big, solid and comfortable with excellent fuel economy. Looking forward to racking up many more miles with and without my wife.

Don't know much about MSTA, but I will find out.

Yo Yoda! Welcome! The Burgman 650 is great. I rode one on a ride across country it's a very capably comfortable mount!
Where in NM do you live. I spent some time in Alamagordo while in the USAF. Got my first... Mmmm... 4 bikes while stationed there.

I live in Albuquerque, but have toured Colorado, Arizona, Texas, Wyoming, and South Dakota. Love the mountains and twisty roads. The howling winds? Not so much.

Welcome.  Haven't had the opportunity to tour NM yet but we did spend the night in Tucumcari on the way home from a cross country trip in '09.  May see you at STAR next year.  Being in AR next year will be central location for a lot of folks.

Jon Campbell our past VP has followed me many a mile on a Bergman 650.  When STAR was in NM he and I got matching driving awards in OK.  I wasn't speeding but Jon was running 80.  Welcome to the forum.
