New Members from South Central Ohio
« on: July 12, 2021, 10:41:48 AM »
Moved to Hocking Hills in 2011 from AZ,NC,MD.VA. Retired Military Couple. I split my riding between my Z1K and the V-Strom. The Commander/wife Karen is on her second Can Am Spyder and is slowly coming back to two wheels on a 2021 Honda Monkey she received for her birthday in March. We ride enjoy 300 mile sport touring day long/weekend/overnight breakfast/lunch rides often. Annual trips to TN/NC. I do ADV rides in OH,WV,KY,NC,TN also. Looking to meet riding/friends in the MSTA family to enjoy the spirit of motorcycling.
See you in Marietta :trink39:

Welcome!

SW Ohio members meet the 3rd Saturday of every month in Waynesville, Oh at the Village restaurant for breakfast @9.  July one coming up this coming Saturday.  Year round and nobody says anything if it’s cole or raining and you want to drive.  If it’s nice many will ride afterwards.

Central Ohio people also get together monthly, but I’m sure exactly where and when since the shutdown happened this past year.

Yearly ride to Jimbo’s in the Hocking Hills is coming up on Sunday July 25th.  Meet many of them there on that day.

not all that wander are lost

I love breakfast rides. It's seems to be flat in your area so I had better drink plenty of coffee to stay awake on the ride up. ;D

With so many great roads south of I-70 I don't blame you. Lived here for a while before I started riding, and had never traveled thru most of Ohio, was really surprised to find so many hilly and curvy roads, especially in the SE part of the state (the corner bounded by 77, 70 and Ohio River is great). I was mostly familiar with northern Ohio traveling west to Indiana on the toll road. But at least I can get to some decent roads in about an hour, and a full day ride will often take me to points south of 70 like Woodsfield and McConnellsville. Many of our members in this area are closer to CLE even further from decent roads. And my brother lives in mid-Michigan, where the only corners are the ones going around farms and pavement is horrible.

PS  There's a restaurant in Dresden I've been meaning to try out (The Warehouse, they have one in Roscoe Village in Coshocton that was good last time I was there).

Newb, Question. Is there a thread on this forum for this Portside Cafe (time) or the Jimbo's ride on July 25??
I have seen old event post but nothing to new/current.
Thanks in advance, I am still learning this forum and MSTA website information.  :o
