(1/1)

VersysBoy:

THIS IS A GREAT WAY TO KICK OFF THE 2021 RIDING SEASON!
This is a "Just for Fun" Rally - There is no FEE for this ride.

This will be the kick off to the official riding season for 2021.

The hotel for this trip will be;
Quality Inn - Eureka Springs
196 E. Van Buren, Eureka Springs AR 72632
479-253-5241
Event Coordinator: Patsy
Group Code: MSTA Arkansas
Rooms held until Jan 31 at a cost of $109 per night. Book as soon as possible as the spots filled up quickly last year.

GPS routes will be available as we get closer to the ride event. We will have a Pizza social at the hotel on Friday evening. On Saturday night we will have a pre arranged restaurant to have a group dinner if possible.

Last years event had over 50 bikes registered before being cancelled due to COVID-19. Here is hoping 2021 goes off with no issues. Let's Ride.

What a fun event. Great turn out even with some rain thrown in. Read more about it here: https://motoadrenalinetours.blog/2021/04/25/spring-has-sprung-in-the-ozarks/

Ride4MS:
Jerry was great at Greeting everyone that arrived in the Breakfast/Meeting room on Friday.  The hotel was in a good location with plenty of parking for trailers and bikes, as well as eating places within walking distance.  And, the Hotel Staff was also friendly.

Roads provided good riding with many scenic views.  Wish we had stayed one or two days longer.

We plan to go back next year, and hope that we have nice weather the whole weekend.

HawkGTRider:
I didn't get to attend this event as my weekends tend to be taken by MSF classes (I've already done 9 classes this year...a rather uncharacteristically high number) and such, but I was able to ride through the area along with 3 other local friends in mid-week just prior to OE 2021 (was there on Wednesday night). It's a super area for riding and highly recommend it!

I'm absolutely sure the Quality Inn is a fine place. I like the Choice chain and use their locations often when I'm traveling. I've gotten free nights by using their rewards program. They have breakfast areas that can be used for gatherings and such, and in general have nice facilities. But we were looking for a bit more budget friendly lodging on this excursion. While everyone raises their rates on weekends, we stayed mid-week at a non-chain place only 8/10ths of a mile from the Quality Inn called The Lodge. Rates were 2/3 of the mid-week Quality rates and the rooms were just fine. The owners volunteered their office overhang (it had been rainy that day) for us to park our bikes where they had a bucket with rags and an assortment of cleaning supplies. We called in an order for pizza and beverages, sat outside overlooking a wooded area on the backside of the motel, and whiled away the evening with good conversation of places we'd been and things we'd seen (the usual tire kicking and such).
