New chapter in New Mexico
« on: March 21, 2014, 11:48:16 PM »
Hello everyone welcome to the NM chapter of the MSTA.

I am Jim Lovell the new state director for this new chapter.

I have been riding and racing motorcycles for about 45 + years.
My current bikes are a 2001 Honda CBR1100XX & 1984 Honda goldwing aspencade.
I have been in the fire service for 20 years and currently the fire/rescue training captain for Santa Fe County F. D.
Over the years I raced Enduro and desert races, pro street drag bike, and road racing.

I am 54 years old and anxiously waiting to retire in a little over a year. I am excited about starting this new state chapter and hope to travel around to meet other MSTA members. And I  want to invite anyone that comes to NM to contact me anytime. My home, garage, tools,  etc are here and I can also help with travel info, dealership locations, maybe even show you around and go for a ride.

And of course looking for members, I am available 24/7. Look forward to hearing from everyone.

Jep & ipnman, thanks for the welcome and stopping by. I don't think I am going to be able to make STAR this year as I have 2 firefighter academies going on at the same time. But I hope to still meet folks when I travel (if they ever let me have some time off). And like I said NM & my door is always open. Take it easy and stay safe.

Jim

So Jim  -  how is recruiting in New Mexico going for MSTA?
You and I talked about it a few times over the years.
I'm just curious if you are having success promoting the MSTA in NM?

Thanks,     Doug Logston     Colorado State Director
