Welcome....you’ll have a great time hanging out with the Florida people, and have plenty of opportunities to do so.  Hope to see you at some of the events back up north this year.  Thanks for joining up!

Glad you could join us for the MSTA Central Florida ride. It was a good turnout.

We have a "South ride and a "Central" ride every month, so you have a choice of rides. When it gets HOT starting in June we will go to BRUNCH rides meeting at 9:30AM to beat the heat. You can see all of the Florida RTE's on the calendar link on this site or on our Facebook page or on our Florida webpage at https://flmsta.org/.

Hope to see you at our next event. -JEP-

North is a relative term....

I’ve spent quite a bit of time in the Akron area (Goodyear retiree) and while I’m not knocking it, that’s certainly not what I was suggesting.  More along the lines of the the Smokey Mts, all of the great regional events we hold there, and of course STAR.  The Helen Event in No. Ga. is something you should check out sometime too.  GREAT area!

Current Akron area resident here, you're missing tons of great roads to be ridden if you never leave Florida. North Georgia has some pretty good stuff, then on to the Deal's Gap and other areas.

I love this area, except the winter :)  I can understand wanting to live where it is warmer, but I'd still want some hills and curves.

You sound like my brother.  He “lives” in Palmetto but spends 90% of his time on his boat, sailing to the Keys and beyond.  (He just got back from a week in CUBA...sailed there of course).  Drives back north once a year in the summer to see his son.  Otherwise he almost never leaves the state, and no way will he come north for any other reason.  Tough life, huh?  But he earned it by spending 30 years in law enforcement and is truthfully lucky he got out alive.  Y’all enjoy yourself and enjoy the warm sunshine.
