Spring is coming!
« on: March 07, 2015, 05:24:32 PM »
The snow is melting and we have to set our clocks ahead tonight---all signs are pointing to spring!

To celebrate, I just spent some money at STG buying tires for the ST2 and 929  8) .  Can't wait to get them in, and then on the bikes.  Maybe this time I'll remember to actually bring the tires when I go to Gregg's  :o

Dunlop has a good promotion right now, $50 rebate on a pair  ;)

The snow is melting here in western OH and the 10-day forecast shows daytime highs in the 50s and even 60s.  I'm going for a ride this afternoon!  :-)

It was nice in Ohio too, but I still got that work thing going. Saw lots of bikes out on my way home.

Still haven't even started the bikes after the deep freeze, or cleaned up the garage and cleared excess salt/gravel from my driveway. Maybe this weekend.

I have yet to get the bikes out this year but hope to do so this weekend!  Planning on the MSTA breakfast on Saturday as the maiden trip for this year.

The Vstrom and I finally got away from home about noon yesterday. It only got down to the mid 50's night before last, and I had aspirations of leaving earlier. Phone calls and church problems held me up. I rode some beautiful back roads to Farmville, Va., and ate Lunch at Charley's, located in the midst of  the famous (at least locally) Green Front Furniture complex. I had a delicious colb salad while sitting out on their patio overlooking the  river. It was almost up to 80 by mid afternoon, and everyone was in short sleeve shirts. Homeward bound, I took a different route, and rolled up around 150 miles in all. God is good!  ;) Syd
