2015 MSTA STAR Raffle
The 2015 MSTA Raffle Grand Prize is a 2014 Yamaha FJR 1300. You do not need to be present to win.
This year you will need to request raffle tickets, we did not mass mail tickets to all members this year.
You MUST be a MSTA member to participate in the raffle.
The raffle will be drawn at STAR 2015 on June 24th, 2015 at the STAR 2015 banquet.
You can request tickets online.
Tickets are $10.00 per ticket.

You won't find better odds of winning a bike anywhere !!! Some members have won more than once !
Don't forget - if you are coming to STAR- there are other prizes you can win with these tickets !!
-
I will be heading out on Saturday for STAR so if you plan to mail me any tickets I need them by Thursday or your tickets will not make it in the hopper. I sure the winning ticket has still not been purchased yet ;D so you can still be a rock star with a new bike. Worse case you are supporting the club. See you all next Sunday.

I'm not sure if you can still get bike raffle tickets, but here's the latest on STAR 2016. We're heading to Stratton Mountain Ski Resort in Vermont. Woo hoo! If you've been wanting to go to the northeast, this should be right up your alley. I went through that area over the Memorial Day weekend and there were still pockets of snow on the mountain. After the heat of this year in Arkansas, I'll be tickled pink with cooler temperatures.
Oh yeah...put the dates on your calendar now and get those requests for vacation in before someone else does. June 19-22, 2016.

DOH! I'm at a conference from work with various things scheduled each day, you'd think I'd know what day it is.
Not sure what Brick's excuse is. :-)
Keeping my fingers crossed.

I was drawn in by your reply... yea, that's my story and I'm stickin to it too!

Come on Brick. Are you saying that you keep up with what day of the week it is now that you're retired?
-
You are right... I don't really care what day it is except Patricia is off work Sat & Sun.
So now who won the bike???????????
I must be out riding my Super Teneré'!

Yes, yes. Do tell. Inquiring minds want to know who won?

I always figured for retired people the week goes something like this (compared to the average M-F daytime worker)
Saturday-Sunday-Saturday-Sunday-FRIDAY EVENING ALL DAY-Saturday-Sunday.
PS I guess we know 3 people that didn't win (Brick, Rich and I).

NO, I'm still holding out hope that they forgot to call me. Yeah that's it, my phone was off and my VM was full so they couldn't leave a message. "Hello, can you hear me now??" :)

Hey Brick, from a posting I saw on FB he and his wife were there and the poster said they were both "very excited." Heck, I'd be doing cartwheels (or something approximating that) if I won a new FJR. Congrats to them.

In Asheville (2007?), the guy won the red/white/blue edition VFR, he was running up to the stage very excited. I also recall one year recently they called the winner and they hardly sounded excited at all. Some thought maybe they had just woken up.
Congrats David Moss.
