On a semi-related note, AIM is moving to Columbus OH next year and their event will be in late-September.   I'll finally get to attend AIM!

If I'm not mistaken (and I often am), it's only a week earlier.  It's scheduled for the 21st-24th and Fall Colors is the 29th-1st, right?  Still shouldn't present a conflict problem.

Now, if we put Middlesboro in there a week before the expo....say the 15th-17th...that means 3 weekends in a row with "events" going on.  That might be a bit much for some people.  ("Lucy, you gots some splainin' to do!")
May have to play with that date a little bit. Hmmm.
not all that wander are lost

For this year, Syd moved the FCR into the last weekend of September (Sept 29-Oct 2) and if that holds true for 2017, there shouldn't be a conflict with my attending AIM in Columbus.  :-)

Fall Colors will be 9/28 thru 9/30 in 2017. It would be greatly appreciated if those wishing to promote just for fun events would show a little respect for official events when doing their scheduling. Thanks, Syd :)

For the last 2-3 years, FCR has started on Thursday with a nice group dinner in downtown Lewisburg.  This year the food and company were fantastic!   :D

Actually Brick, that's Friday thru Sunday, which are our AMA sanctioned dates. I always encourage everyone to come early and-or stay late to increase the chances to have at least a day or two of good riding weather. So many routes, and so little time!! I also make dinner reservations for a Thursday evening dinner, and this year we had approximately 36 attend. Since there were only 61 in attendance at the rally, that's a pretty good early bird representation! Thursday night's dinner was at Food and Friends in downtown Lewisburg, where we were seated in our own area, and the reviews were all great. The hotel holds the same rate before and after the official event, and I have a contract in hand to assure that we maintain the same $79.95 room rate next year. That's an outstanding rate for a hotel of this caliber. I hope and pray that you are riding your ass off again by that time! I guess Patricia was spot on with the timing for your European vacation! Take care, Syd :D
