MSTA newsletter?
« on: November 05, 2019, 12:25:01 PM »

Just putting out feelers here.....

1st.....what are opinions on putting out a 4X a year printed and/or emailed 8-10 page NEWSLETTER as a supplement to the STAReview?  A very simple thing, printed on 8X11 paper, black and white, little or no pictures.  Club NEWS primarily with emphasis on keeping members up-to-date on club doings:  EC minutes, Membership info, Event Schedule and Previews, Local doings and happenings, etc.

2nd....how many people would be willing to HELP on this project?

Some of the things this would take:
Collection of information
Insertion into an already set template
Printing?
Mailing?
Sending out mass email?

Would think that a team of 3-4 could do this.  Florida puts out one EVERY month (can see it by going to the forum).  Would think that a club our size could do it 4 X a year!

Let me know what you think and if you might be willing to help.

I like the idea and would be willing to help.

Thinking maybe just PDF to email would be easier/cheaper than mail?

But, I know some still love a hard copy.

Give me a call or email to let me know how I can help.

There have got to be more MSTA members like me that do not do Facebook and who do not go to the forum as frequently as they should for news and discussion (remote social interaction)

A PDF email attachment and/or a mailing could be used as a “newspaper” and point out recent Forum news that would be of interest - with links, as well Club events, etc.

Some don’t like email blasts, but I say it’s an easy delete, if you are not interested. As for mail you don’t want, there’s the round file.

I like it as well.  As a BMW owner, the organization sends out monthly news items via email in addition to a magazine.  The mailings are short reads with highlight data.  Thanks for sending this out.
