You can only do so much, and I ended up with needing to make a loop through upper East Tennessee and a couple of towns in Western North Carolina. It was a beautiful day. I was passing through West Jefferson, NC and stopped for lunch at Boondock's Tap Room and Restaurant on the main drag through town. It wasn't a day chocked full of curvy roads, but it was a day of plenty of riding, and it felt good.

Got out yesterday by myself and did 190 miles, mostly in southeast Indiana, some in northern Kentucky. A lot of the indiana stuff was on very little backroads through all the woods and hollows (hollars) along the southern edge of the state.
Today I met up with 3 others from Cincinnati and we did a couple of hundred miles of southern Ohio, hitting lots of good roads over the course of about 6 hours. Don't let anyone tell you there aren't good roads in Ohio, there are!
Beautiful weather both days, clean roads, good company. If these are the last two days of riding this year..OK. It s been a great way to end the riding season.... :)
But I'm still holding out hope for a couple more days this year!

Friday Nov 18 was grand, I had half a day off and rode about 250 miles (including to work then some slab to get to good roads) and had a nice evening dinner with my sister and brother in law before the final 30 miles ride home in the dark. (Love that VFR headlight.)
Probably the last ride of the season, already working to get bikes prepped for their long winter's nap.
