It is with a heavy heart that I report this to you today.
I received this info about Rick Sansone, former member of the HSTA some time ago. He was to have medical procedure on his heart. He went into cardiac arrest before the procedure and has been unconscious since. He's scheduled to be unhooked from life support today Jan. 5.
Many Ohio and surrounding area members will remember Rick and wife Deb were members in the 90's and operated the coolest rider oriented cafe' around, called Momma's in Leesburg, OH. On any given weekend it was packed with bikes for all the good reasons. Good food, reasonable prices and very, very friendly owners and staff. Both were riders. And it wasn't near any of us so it was an excuse to ride.
Ride to Eat and Eat to Ride!!
Please keep them in your good thoughts and prayers at this sad time. Thanks to Aaron Engle for getting this info to me.

Brick, if you remember....it was at Rick and Deb's house where we first met so many, many years ago. The occasion was a customer appreciation event at their home. You were on your 907ie and I was complaining about mine that was in my garage. You convinced me to stick with it and I eventually got it straightened out to reveal the wonderful ride it was. Had it for 10 years.
Can recall the name they gave the event??

Tom,
Yes I remember meeting you at Rick and Deb's and the 907ie stuff... was the event Momma's?

Well, it's kind of unfair to ask a question you don't REALLY know the answer to. I'll explain. No it wasn't Momma's, that was the name of the restaurant. Rick and Deb named the event after the nik name of Sir Lawerence of Arabia's Brough Superior. Rick's favorite motorcycle. I tried to look it up but for the life of me I couldn't find a proper spelling. It's something like Bonageires, I believe a french word. (wrong)
Can someone more literary than me help out here?? Everything I googled never mentioned any nik names other than George III to George VI.
Update: After further research I found it. It's called Boanergers, which means Son of Thunder in Aramaic. I couldn't find a Brough Superior owner to ride one to the event. So I took some pictures of one I found in a calendar and framed them to present to Rick at the cookout.
