Title: Colorado Dreamin' Tour 2019
Post by: VersysBoy on June 20, 2019, 03:42:33 pm: 8 friends exploring Colorado on two wheels! Fun times and great memories were made. Check it out!

The ride report has been completed. We finished over 1700 miles of awesome roads and amazing scenery! The trip was amazing and I hope that you all enjoy this report.

And those lovely alpine roads and views....

Post by: stevegrab on July 30, 2019, 05:12:52 pm: Ahh Gunnison, one of the first places I saw and enjoyed immensely on my first ride in Colorado. I believe its CO Hwy 92 that runs along the top of the canyon, fun road for sure. Made a really cool side drip up to Taylor Park Reservoir with lots of free range cattle in the road, and the sun going down as we road back to town for dinner.

Haven't been on CO141 in the Gateway area, but some friends did go thru there on a trip and I saw some of their photos.

I agree with the "if money were no object", I'd have a summer home there, and a winter home somewhere in the SE near good roads.

Post by: stevegrab on August 06, 2019, 01:03:49 pm: Ahh yes, the Million Dollar Highway, US550, Silverton, Durango.... beautiful, even with a bit of rain at the end. (It rained while we stopped in Silverton for lunch when I was there. Turned out it was hailing back on the main road away from town, could see it on the shoulder as we left, and heard stories about it from a person at dinner that night in Durango.)
