I was out today with my new bike (FJ-09) and Mark Hanke (GS1150). Beautiful warm winter day. I might just do it tomorrow too, cause the weather is holding for at least day.
-
Yep, I ride almost every day. Today about 210 mile, under beautiful clear crystal blue sky and temperatures in the mid-70's! ;D

The few good riding days during the winter in Ky must also fall on a Sat or Sun due to that work thing for me to be able to take advantage of them. But I can usually count on at least a day or two every month. Sunny and 60 yesterday and sunny and 70 today. Very rare to have two weekend days this nice this time of year.

There is a God. He took a vacation day in NC today. 71 degrees, blue sky, brilliant sun. Big Lynn Lodge is still there and waiting for us but the BRP was closed South bound from Lil' Switz. 181 from Morganton to Jonas Ridge was in track day condition until you got to the very top. Salt and sand. 226A down from Lil' Switz was salty white in a lot of places and crap in the corners. It ain't summer yet, folks

Got back from a 560 mile run to the coast on the Concours yesterday, using the electrics most of the time. Warmer today, I put 60 on the Ducati 1098 on the local twisties.

Did 80 miles around central Texas. Sunny and 66 degrees.

I played with one of these some after the holidays, does that count? Its as close I'm getting to riding a motorcycle until the spring thaw.

Bob you have a Ducati 1098... ?? Damn, you Da-Man!

I had very nice ride on the 8th. Now that seems like long time ago. Sand, salt snow and ice and 1 more week of this miserable month.

Too cold lately for the Ten98. Today I rode 40 miles round trip to the gym on the Concours 14 but yesterday it was 160 miles for a rib plate for lunch.

I bought a new bike a month ago....so far I've put 4 miles on it. It took me 20 minutes to clean the junk from the roads off it from just that short run. It hasn't been out of the garage since. Considering it 13 degrees outside right now, and they are calling for some more snow tonight, I doubt it will see any daylight anytime soon. :(
Meantime, my son in Phoenix keeps sending me pictures of him riding in the mountains out there....*%#+?!!!

Of course, everything is relative. However, a typical January/February means I've ridden somewhere between 700-1000 miles. This year has been a bit worse. I racked up a whopping 653 miles in January. And unless I get out today and go somewhere, I'll have an amazing 441 miles this month. I went for nearly two weeks without throwing my leg over a bike.
You northern guys need to quit sharing those cold temperatures and frozen precipitation...I don't want any more for a while.
