We have the ability to make the real name field in your forum profile public or private. There have been requests to make this field public. Please vote in the attached poll to let us know your feelings on the matter.

Clearly does not matter to me, its the same as my username.

I think the Blue Book is public enough. I voted private, I'm not sure folks realize how much info is available in the public domain once you have a real name and a fair idea of the residential location. I do seem to be in the minority in the voting, so maybe I don't fully understand the question or if there is an opt out feature in each member's profile for what you are considering. Then again if you are only talking about first names like Bill, or Joshua, or in my case Martin...then change my vote to public.
OK, I just removed my last name from the real name field. Go for it.

Yes Marty... just first names would be great. If like I my case 99.9% of the time I go by Brick so no one would know me as David.

David? Who the heck is David? I always thought Brick was your first name! :)

Don't really understand the debate as the CMRA member uses real names only and it's actually kind of nice.
