Canaan Valley MSTA Rally / Re: Camping at Canaan?
« Last post by HawkGTRider on November 19, 2024, 02:11:49 pm »
I pitched a tent at one of the "tent only" sites while at the Canaan Valley Rally a few years back (seems like there are only 2 of these sites). There are plenty of sites available that include accommodations for other types of camping including RVs, tents, etc.
Facilities were convenient and clean. No problems. I made my reservation in advance.

There is an on-site state owned and operated campground with baths and flush toilets located on the grounds. Wooded sites. I’m not sure if they take reservations or it’s first come-first serve.

Welcome Mat / New guy from central Arkansas

After attending the Star rally in Kerrville, which I did mostly out of curiosity about MSTA & just have a place to ride to. I liked what I saw, well organized & friendly people. Once I left Kerrville, I rode   over to Big Bend for a couple days & then returned home. Once home I promptly joined MSTA. Since then I've attended one RTE, at which I was surprised at the number of bikes that attended & the distance they some rode.

I'm a long-time rider & my primary ride is a Concours 1400, my riding is primarily travel miles. I occasionally do some off rode on my V-Strom also.

STAR 2024 Planning & Discussion / Re: STAR 2024!

Great photos! Wish we could have been there, but was busy all year long and could not work it in the schedule.
There are a few, or should I say many more places to see in the area that we have not been to with a cycle,
or a car, even though we have been there 3 times in the past 10 years.
Many great photos and looks like everyone had a great time.
Congratulations to Stan Downing, the Oldest Attendee!

For Sale / Two Rail Kendon for sale
« Last post by brider on November 15, 2024, 09:16:51 am »
I purchased this is a well used Kendon 2 rail trailer which including the triple wide ramp option.  Kendon sells the ramp for $1100 shipped. I also have like new trailer cover.  Overall the trailer isn't pretty but has lots of life left in it.  Its been repainted. The diamond plate has some dents.  Spare rim will need a tire. I've replaced all 3 casters and I have a brand new storage cover for it.     MSTA price is $1600 obo.  Its sitting in the 45371 zip code.  Reason for sale is shortly after I bought it I found EXACTLY what I needed so I'm a motivated seller.   Come see for yourself or make me an offer.

That is what I was also thinking, to hard to make it back home in the coming weather. It is about 700 miles for Owatonna, MN and we have some rain coming in the next few days as well as maybe some snow. About 90 miles NW of us there was a Halloween snow this year of about 8 inches. They still have some in piles that were pushed off the streets.
If you get near Bentonville, check out the Sam Walton Dime Store/Museum downtown. There is a photo of Denise with Sam Walton when he came to the Grand Opening of the first WM in Minnesota, which was Owatonna. Denise was there during set-up and continued for over 38 years as Paint & Hardware Dept Manager.
She had been to Bentonville several times for meetings through the years and we also stopped there when on a few MSTA Rallies in Ark.
