“No FB for me either, so hopefully plenty of information gets posted here.”

This forum is barely used by more than a handful of members.  You’ll have better luck finding information on the website…..www.ridemsta.com……I try to keep it updated with all pertinent information that members need as soon as it becomes available.

Welcome from South Florida. I was also at the Kerrville STAR, a fun event! Although this year’s event was a smaller crowd than usual it offered plenty to do. Hope to see you next year in Pennsylvania. -JEP-

I'm not planning to be in PA next year. COG had their National Rally at the same hotel in 2019 & for that reason I'm not going back. The hotel actually ran out food at the Banquet, about 25% of us had to wait an hour + for them to scrounge up some more food. Poor planning on their part or miscommunication on the number of people attending, that I can't answer.  I do plan to attend other MSTA events though.

Welcome Cliff! You may remember me from the COG and ZGGTR forums as lather.   Rode 3 Concours for 275,000 miles over 15 years but they hauled off my last one, totaled, in 2022. I've downsized to a Tracer 9GT and love it EXCEPT for the chain drive. Again, welcome aboard!

Yes, I remember you & you're from LA if I remember right. I relayed a message for you once from one forum  to the other.

I'm retired & free to ride most anytime anywhere. I'm not a planner, usually load my camping gear & pick a direction.

No FB for me either, so hopefully plenty of information gets posted here.

Thanks for the welcomes!

Canaan Valley MSTA Rally / Re: Camping at Canaan?

A few people in the past have also camped at Blackwater Falls State park, which is only about 10 or so miles away.  Good reviews for it.

Canaan Valley MSTA Rally / Re: Camping at Canaan?
« Last post by HawkGTRider on November 19, 2024, 02:11:49 PM »
I pitched a tent at one of the "tent only" sites while at the Canaan Valley Rally a few years back (seems like there are only 2 of these sites). There are plenty of sites available that include accommodations for other types of camping including RVs, tents, etc.
Facilities were convenient and clean. No problems. I made my reservation in advance.

There is an on-site state owned and operated campground with baths and flush toilets located on the grounds. Wooded sites. I’m not sure if they take reservations or it’s first come-first serve.
