New from the Research Triangle area of NC

This looks like my kind of group!  I enjoy long rides exploring the roads less traveled both paved and dirt.  Like to camp and fly fish.  I am more of a motorcycle traveler and sightseer not a speed demon.  I look forward to meeting you at an upcoming event!

Welcome!  While there are certainly some very fast riders in this group, there are also a large contingent of people that prefer to stop and smelll the roses too.  There is a great diversity of riders and riding styles within this club.  I'm sure from your description that you will fit right in.  Please don't be a stranger to the forum or to events, you are more than welcome to participate in any of them.

Yep new members are always welcome, and while we do require MSTA membership to attend most events, many of them include a one year membership for new members with your registration for the event, that way it doesn't cost you any more to join and experience it than the rest of us.

Sorry to hear the EC has decided to discontinue that practice, if was announced I missed it or forgot. Though now I seem to recall some discussion about the retention rate for new members that joined that way.
