We are glad you enjoyed STAR 2018 and the La Crosse area.  It is where many Minnesotan's go to ride.  The further west you go from La Crosse, you get into more farmland and not as much fun to ride.  But, we do make do with that sometimes, as in go straight for a few miles than a 90 degree turn and go straight again until you decide to make another 90 degree turn.  Well, not quite that back, but not like the Driftless area around La Crosse, where you can end up not knowing what direction you are going.

See you next year in Bristol.

Welcome Dano!  Glad you had a good time in La Crosse and are looking forward to Bristol.  I think that it will also turn out to be a great event.  In the meantime we have several regional events coming up, kind of like mini STARs, and you should try to make any that you can.  ROHP, River City Ride, and Mail Pouch in particular.  You’ll find great people and great roads at all of them, and at any of our events throughout the year.

It was tough to know what direction on Tuesday Lunch Ride, as there was not sun out.  At one point, I came to an intersection, and wanted to go East, and thought I should turn right, but the sign said East was Left.  The other cycle behind us just followed and enjoyed the scenery.

Dano,

Welcome to MSTA and glad to hear you enjoyed STAR!

I'd like to invite you and your friends to join us in late August for Fly-By Week, MSTA's biggest regional rally in Marietta, Ohio. Like LaCrosse, we have great roads and more than 15 fun routes in Ohio and West Virginia to choose from. Come for the whole week- August 20-26 or any part you wish. Hotel rooms are ony $75/night for a room with 2 queen beds. Registration is only $15, which includes a cookout on Friday night.

Don't know exactly where you're located in Indiana, but Fly-By Week headquarters is about 360 miles from Lafayette, Indiana via interstate highways- a one-day ride.

For full info and online registration go to http://www.planetreg.com/Fly-ByWeek2018

Hope to see you there!

We made a wrong turn on our way to the lunch ride and didn’t mind because the the road was so good and we had plenty of time then we came upon a group of riders and thought cool I’ll follow them about 20 min later I realized they were leaving the lunch not going to the lunchwe eventually made it in time.

STAR is a great first event to attend. Try to get to more regional ones (River City Ride in Corydon, IN or Mail Pouch Fly By (MPFB) in late August in Marietta, OH (right across the river from WV). THe roads down there are just marvelous. Hope to see you on the road or at an event in the near future.

NW Indiana, my family used to live in the Gary/Merillville area and I was born there. Welcome to the MSTA, glad that the LaCrosse location got you interested and joining this great group. Regional rallies are also great and I echo the invite to attend Mail Pouch or River City Ride.

Welcome Dano,
If you're near Chicago, we do a weekly Ride to Eat on Monday nights and the location changes from week to week, sometimes, we have 2 if the locations are far enough away.  The RTE's are posted in the calendar and Upcoming Events sections of the MSTA forum.  Hope you can join us soon!!
