Gail's message:
Some of you already know, I went through a struggle last year with stage III colon cancer - was diagnosed when I went for my first colonoscopy, then had to have immediate surgery and 6 months of chemo. As I was sitting in the chemo chair, was thinking about what I could do to help raise awareness for this dreadful disease, it can hit you when you least expect it! I had no symptoms and if it weren't for getting screened, I wouldn't be here to type this E-mail to you. I partnered with the Colon Cancer Coalition to put on a benefit bicycle ride to be held in Allentown PA on June 13, 2015 (Saturday). I have been raising funds for the event the past couple of months. Olympus America has agreed to be the presenting sponsor, along with Lehigh Valley Health Network, Bicycling Magazine to name a few. The reason I am E-mailing my MSTA friends is that I would like to have a few motorcycles riding to course during the event, to be course marshall's to help in case something happens. There is a 60 mile and a 30 mile route and it goes through some of the most scenic areas of Eastern PA. If you are interested in volunteering, please let me know. I am going to be riding my KTM around the course to make sure things go smoothly. The website for the ride is:
