anyone tired of 77 to 26 to 95 to Daytona?
« on: March 20, 2017, 10:00:03 pm »
I've heard there's a short cut off 95 in Georgia that leads to 26 missing several hundred miles on I-95. Anytime I make the run to and from Daytona their always seems to be a major slow down or complete stop sometimes for hours.

I'm interested in the shortcut can anyone help? Sick of the slbbing and the traffic tie ups! wardie

I took US 21.  No traffic to speak of (except around Orangeburg).

South Carolina doesn't seem to care about moving traffic on I95(?).

You can pick up hwy 1 in Jacksonville to hwy 301, to hwy 321, to I26 in Cayce SC (Columbia)
It's 2 lanes in places but moves along.
It's likely slower than I-95 with no traffic, but faster when there's a lot of traffic on I-95
Works great when there is a lot of Daytona Bike Week traffic on I-95

Another option is to get off I-95 in Hardeeville SC and take hwy 321 to I26 in Cayce SC (Columbia)
