Bluetooth Radar Detector?
« on: January 31, 2025, 03:54:03 PM »
Does anyone know of a radar detector that connects to
a smartphone and sends audio and visual alerts to phone?
I have seen some online that connect to phone apps
That shares info from other drivers but I'm not interested in that.

Well I joined the Radar Detector & Countermeasure Forum: https://www.rdforum.org/
and got quick answers to my question. Uniden R4 and Radenso DS1 in the affordable range and high end Valentine V1, Uniden  R8 and R9.

The Valentine has been one of the most depended upon units in the long-distance riding crowd for many years and Uniden is also a very familiar name in that arena. I'm not surprised they'd be the manufacturers that are out front in this application.

I read a post on the forum by a guy that tested several and he seems to prefer the Valentine V1G2 for highway use but tyhe Uniden R78 for city riding due to the photo radar "hell". LOL
