The name of this Rally says it all! TRISTAR is named for its unique location in Sparta, NC. A quaint town located just off the Blue Ridge Parkway; Sparta is just a few miles from the borders of Virginia and Tennessee so riders can enjoy the best roads of these three states all within the same day!
Sparta is a small inviting town with a population of about 2000. Despite its small size, there are plenty of things to do when not riding including several restaurants, a great downtown shopping scene, and a top-rated micro-brewery just a block down the street from the hotel.
Of course, riding is the highlight of coming to Sparta. Within a mile of the Alleghany Inn, our host hotel, the twisties begin and never end. Nearby riding attractions include the Back of the Dragon, the Blue Ridge Parkway accessed from either end of Sparta, Burkes Garden VA also known as “God’s Thumbprint,” and Shady Valley, gateway to the Snake.
For people interested in ADV riding, there will be GPS Tracks available for three excellent ADV rides that are big-bike friendly. You can either pick from one of the Road or ADV routes that are provided or simply explore the area. You won’t be disappointed!
Let’s not forget the food. Your registration fee gets you two meals! Friday night at the hotel we will grill burgers and hot dogs along with sides. Saturday night features a catered dinner provided by Cookie’s catering. You will have the option to choose either chicken or BBQ pork on the registration form. Cookie’s has catered for the past two years and her reviews have been great.
