July 12 -14, 2024
Idaho Springs, Colorado
Quite a few members have mentioned the lack of annual, published rallies and Just For Fun Events that are West of the Ozarks.
Event coordinator "Half Fast Fred" Frederick Greenlee lives west of the Ozarks and attends many events in the Ozarks and Appalachians every year. He also does at least 1 ride a year to Colorado. The last 2 years his annual Colorado ride has been a big hit. so he decided to turn it into an MSTA event.
Come and ride the Highest Paved Road in North America. The destination is the Mount Blue Sky Summit, (formerly Mt. Evans).
Rider arrival on Friday. Ride to the Summit Saturday morning and possible extended riding in the afternoon. As with last year's ride. a 'Timed Entry Pass' will need to be purchased prior to arrival at the Echo Lake Park Ranger gate. click the link below. My recommendation is the 10:00am-12:00pm block.
This event is a 'Tour' event. It will differ from most other MSTA events, as the location will change year to year. It's also a 'Destination Ride,' where there is only a single tour route for the event. The annual location around central Colorado will change year to year over a five year cycle.
This rally is an MSTA JFF (Just For Fun) event with no fees or membership requirements.
