LED turn signals

Having had a turn signal stalk break on the Tiger 800XC I decided to replace with a set of smaller rear turn signals with LED's I like the look and the fact they are very bright, but of course now the off/on cycle time is about 3 times as fast.


I should know how to correct this problem but my old brain is having cramps suddenly and I am drawing a blank. SO if you young digital whippersnappers could help an old analog phart out I would appreciate it. I remember reading a post a while back on the forums either here or on the Triumph RAT site about a simple cure for this.


Any feedback?


Also please note that I am thinking of changing the front signals out as well so I might need to make an adjustment for that.

You need a new flasher unit that's compatible with LED lights.
They're very inexpensive on eBay
I have a spare if you want to stop by and pick it up.

Not sure how it will work until you change the front lights to LED also

And you may have to add an LED indicator bulb to make the indicator work properly

You can buy a "no load" electronic flasher relay at any automotive parts store for less than $10. There are 2-wire and 3-wire varieties. You'll need to know which your bike uses.

Find out what kind of relay you have in your bike and replace it with one of the above models.
