RCR 2016
« on: July 31, 2016, 03:38:40 PM »
I got back a few hours ago from Corydon and would like to thank Don & Cathy, Carl, Will....and many of the others who made this great event happen = the 27th edition of RCR!   We had a good time and in spite of the dire weather predictions, we only got wet on Thursday and the other days were good. Saturday PM we stopped about 5-miles from the hotel to put on our rain gear and barely got wet.  And we had a dry return to OH.

ps.  Carl & Sharron's spaghetti on Saturday night was A-1!

What Tosh said! The lunch route was fun and I had a great time. Boy, it was foggy this morning, though.  We took it pretty slow until things cleared up.

Dinner was great and it's always a good time hanging out with such a nice bunch of folks. Thanks to all who made it happen.

Lots of people pass on the RCR because, well, it's in Indiana, and Indiana is BORING. The quality of Indiana pavement isn't too great either, or so the story goes. If that's what you think, well you are wrong.

RCR is always fun but this year the route was even better than usual. Lots of great roads in both IN & KY. RCR is one of the closest rallies for me, and I have worked out a fun 217 mile backroads route to get there and back. That gives me 3 straight days of fun sport-touring riding. Highly recommended!

1st timer to RCRide.  Simply un-believable. Who da thunk such great riding was there.  Route was tremendous fun and everything you would expect from a any romp through West Virginia.  Maybe not the elevation changes but really excellent  fun roads. Thanks to Don and Cathy and all who made this weekend really great.
