Reason #2 to attend the 25th Annual Texas Hill Country Rally

This great text from Sarah Kee with Destination Cycles

Please let your "peeps" know the rain is FINALLY moving out!  I have ordered up fantastic weather for your group.

A LOT of the low water crossings, esp to the south i.e. the sisters will have water moving thru them still by fri and saturday ... PLEASE be careful!!  Otherwise, great rides should be had by all

Great photos.   I just glanced through them, and caught a strange sight that you usually do not see at a MSTA Ride.  The passenger in photos 1374-1378 is wearing short pants.  Guess she does not believe in ATGATT, and would rather have skin grafts.

Somebody please explain the Dan Clark Safety Program to them, and maybe they will get some of the purchase price reimbursed if they buy some riding pants for her.  Pants are cheaper and less painful than skin grafts.

It is not if you fall when riding a cycle, it is when you fall.  Everyone falls sometime in their riding career, and usually is not the riders fault.

Well at least they are wearing helmets, however, this is a public road and a public photographer so they may not be MSTA.

If you go to the Touring/Cruiser section from the same day... :o ::).....then you'd see a lot of this---> LINK

If we have to pick a real winner however, my vote goes to this guy---> Link    :-X

The 2nd guy does have eye glasses on and a bracelet.  I wonder if the bracelet has all his vital information, such as blood type, or just a  DNR form??  (Do Not Resuscitate)

Good place for the riding suit, behind him.  That way it will not get any bugs on it and does not get scuffed when he lays it down.

A Gold Wing has enough protection.

What is in the cup holder on the handle bars?  Beer?

Pick your caption from above list.  Or, use all of them.  :trink39:

Getting back on subject, it was a great rally! Thank you Judi and volunteers one and all. I never did see what #1 and #3 reasons were, however I did very much enjoy that mustard cream sauce on the pork, I'm going to have to look into some recipes for that. I had only ridden route 55 further west of Rocksprings not for fun but just to get somewhere. After seeing Judi's reason #20 I did some research on the Butler Hill Country map and found the section she was referring to and then rode it. I have to thank Judi once again for bringing that section of road to my attention, it was great! I nice twisty sweeper road with 4 lanes so it was easy to pass the slo-pokes. I only saw one slow caravan of cruisers blocking both lanes  >:( and they were headed in the opposite direction  :).
