Garbage idea piggybacked onto other legislation dealing with an EU-US beef hormone dispute (according to the letter AMA prepares for you to send). Typical stupid politicians (all parties) trying to fix something that isn't broke and using one thing to mess up something else.

My guess is that the push is coming from US beef industry.  The whole thing seems rather silly to me.  If certain countries don't want to buy our beef because of how we raise our cattle, should we then force them to open their markets?
