the National Highway Traffic Safety Admisnistration (NHTSA) has designated May as Motorcycle Awareness Month. I have asked all of of our state leaders to contact their local media outlets with a copy of a proposed and a,ready prepared press release. The goals being to get the word out to media, and to promote the MSTA as a partner in this endeavor. But state leaders can't do it all alone. They need the support of the efforts of the general membership to.

Click on where it says press release. Change the info where it is generic to reflect current and correct information on dates and contacts. Then forward that to your local newspaper, TV, or radio outlets. Don't forget to give them your own personal contact info along with some type of cover to explain who is sending them this information and why. I did all 3 major newspapers in Ky and 1 radio outlet this morning over the course of about 1/2 hour. All of them had online contact links on their websites, so it was really simple to send them the press release.
