Registered a while back.
Would be nice to have real online registration so I don't have to print a form, fill it out by hand, write a paper check, put it in an envelope, address it, put a stamp on it and put it in a mailbox.
Since I have to go online anyway to print the form, why not just use planetreg and get it all done online? If someone actually likes writing checks, they can register online and hand over the check or cash in person at the event.
As a fellow event coordinator, I appreciate pre-registrations, as they help me anticipate event attendance and lessen effort at the event itself. Why not make it as easy as possible?

Jim just took this over from Ed & Linda this year and I'm trying to help him a bit but I do not have the foggiest idea how to setup this planetreg online registration so if you want to give me some in sight into it maybe we can do it next year as I'm guessing it might be too late this year but again I do not know what is involved and I'm still working full time so my free time is limited. And really this is a good idea for both this and the T-rally which are both hosted by folks that don't do the computer/techie stuff and I'd be willing to help with both once I understood it if they are okay with it just don't want to step on any toes either.

If I can do it, anyone can.... ;D
Seriously, it’s really pretty easy. First.....Go to www.planetreg.com.
There is a template there that is used for the Texas Hill Country Rally. Just use it and change the picture, title, dates, etc. to fit your event(s). It is best if you have your own PayPal account, and the money then comes right into your account. Set it up so people can pay using either a credit card or their own PayPal account. You can still take checks and cash at the event. This all sounds complicated, but the Planetreg site makes it really simple and is set up to make creating a registration site very easy for non-tech people like us. It literally walks you through the process, and you can set it up and test it before it goes live. At the end, it gives you a link to share with people so that they can just click on it to find the registration site.
