This has always sounded like fun, but it seemed like I always had conflicts. Now the only conflict is the pandemic. And my opinion about sleeping in the open air is that the pandemic is pretty much a non-issue. I should make a reservation and that will be an incentive to actually go.

Hello, all. I just joined up, after seeing a reference on the ST Owners forum. I'm looking for more weekend group rides nearer to me than they provide.

I'm interested in attending the Shenandoah Spring Romp in April. Can anyone please direct me to someone to contact for more information about this?

Do I make a reservation there and just show up, or is there someone here keeping track of attendees? I'm used to the ST forum's cabin arrangements.

Me again. I would like to attend this event and meet some of you. I usually trailer my bike to long-weekend riding events, as it's easier on my body so I can ride more with the groups.

The long ride home alone after riding for three days with a group is tedious and boring. Plus, I don't have to pack as carefully, and I can bring more clothing and accessories.

I have a few questions:

1. Is there anyone else who plans to attend, who will be riding up, who lives anywhere near, or east of Richmond, and would like a riding buddy?

2. It seems the options are to camp at the grounds, or stay in a hotel 14 miles away. Do they have cabins, and if so, anyone want a cabin mate?

3. Are there any indoor cooking facilities available, or does everyone either cook over a fire, or ride or drive to a nearby restaurant for meals?

Thank you again.

I have done some research and found a cabin that is about 6 miles and 10-12 minutes away. I have to decide whether it's worth the cost to stay that far away vs. being in the crowd and sleeping in a tent (if I ride up) or the back of my van (if I tow the bike).

Decisions, decisions.

New MSTA member here and happy to see an event in my favorite riding area.  Been riding in that area for about 20 years (including almost 20 WATR Shenandoah 500 events).  Is this primarily a big bike event or dualsport event?

Looking forward to meeting some MSTA folks.

2 rider groups primarily.
Previous years ~20-25 dual sport riders, and 10-15 street riders.

Galen....someone wants to know if the routes will be suitable for their KTM 890R or would it be better to bring their 350 XCF-W?

If riding dual sport, a street legal 350 would be better.
