Newbie from OhiO..
« on: July 01, 2020, 06:36:01 pm »
Thanks to everyone that makes this forum special and organizes everything.
Been lurking around here for some time. I've met some of you at gatherings, etc over the years.
Finally decided to join the ranks and participate as much as I can with like minded people.
Been cruising around on a Honda ST1300 for last 8 yrs. Made allot of friends on ST-Owners forum. Participated in ST-Owner events all over on the eastern side of this great county.  I've made it a goal to ride everywhere I can on this side of the Mississippi then progress to the other side.. I have not found enough time or miles on this side yet. So it may be a while until i get to the other side!
Looking forward to meeting everyone in the future. ;D

Doug

Welcome!  Hope you can make it to the Red River Gorge Rally next weekend or to the Mail Pouch FlyBy Week in August.  Both are great fun events!

Hello Ohiodeere,

Welcome to MSTA.

I own a '02 ST1100 with less than 15,000 miles on it.  Just never seem to have time to ride, and this year is not going any better.
Fun bike and my wife riding on the back loves the acceleration also.  Of course, she owns a '06 Mustang GT with manual trans.

Welcome.

I have a rather full garage that still includes a 1997 ST1100. It's near 100k, but only about 45k of that is mine.

If you're like many of the rest of us, you're torn right now between "needing" to ride and feeling the necessity of avoiding crowds. Despite that, our regional events still have lots to offer. And we're getting into the busy part of the year for those. Here's hoping we can all safely participate.

Welcome also from OhiO.  I'm still sporting' an '02 ST1100 that motoring just fine thank you.Never did join the ST-owners. It was just waaaaay too much traffic back in the day. I've had an ST since the beginning in '91.
If you hadn't already joined then the Mail Pouch would have sealed the deal. See ya there. TM

Welcome from the Akron Ohio area, I'm the contact guy, assistant director, and chief cat herder here in Northern (mostly eastern) Ohio. Not sure we have a lot of riders in your area, most of us are clustered in the CLE-Akron-Canton corridor, or within 40-50 miles of there.

If you'd like some more info on what goes on in our area get in touch with me, email stevegrab@aol.com or call/text 330-338-5185.

I've got tomorrow off and plan to ride, mentioned it in passing to another member and they are going to join me. And a week from Saturday we have a picnic lunch ride planned by our state director Doug/Coach McPeek.

I'm definitely going to Mail Pouch need to register etc., maybe we'll see each other then. I'll be on a red 2014 VFR800, not many of those around, but I still love my 98VFR (now over 70K).

... a week from Saturday we have a picnic lunch ride planned ...

Destination - Guilford Lake State Park
 - Ride to eat, ride some more.  There are plenty of picnic tables on the lawn along Teegarden Rd.
We will head northwest in August.  Stay tuned.
