Hi,
I am from Morgantown, WV and ride a 2013 BMW K1600GTl.  I only started riding about 12 years ago at age 50 but have gotten ~80K experience in those years.  This is my first post but I actually joined last year, finally got around to getting my password reset.  As an FYI I will be attending my first STAR at Canaan Valley this year and will be assisting with route planning.  Glad to be here!

Welcome aboard John, look forward to possibly meeting you at STAR. The mountains of WV (especially the area near VA border) is a great place to ride.

Many of our members started riding as kids, or in their 20s. I didn't start until my mid 30s, and think it was probably for the best as I was more mature by then. 20 years and well over 100K miles later I have no regrets, and appreciate the many friends I've made thru the MSTA.

Thanks for the welcome Steve.  I'll be camping for 3 nights at STAR in CVR after attending the OH-STOC (ST-Owners) event in Portsmouth Ohio, so I'll have about a 5 hour ride on Sunday.

John,

Welcome! Thank you for sharing your time and efforts with route planning.

I have camped at a number of events, but am wimping out this year. I'll be staying in the lodge this time around.
